In short: BT Cloud Voice call plans are the call packages added to your user licences. BT offers UK Pay As You Go, UK Call Sharer bundles of minutes pooled across all users, UK Call Sharer Unlimited priced per user, and international sharer bundles for fixed-only or fixed and mobile destinations. The right plan depends on your call volumes.
The call plan options
BT groups its BT Cloud Voice call packages into UK and international plans. On BT's current product page the options are:

Bundle sizes and destinations can change, so we confirm the current list, and which destinations are included, when we quote. Calls outside your plan are charged at BT's published rates. We do not publish call prices here: ask us for a quote.
How sharer bundles pool minutes
A sharer bundle is a single pot of minutes for the whole account rather than an allowance per person. If you take a 1,000-minute UK Call Sharer bundle for ten users, it does not matter whether one person uses 600 minutes and the others share the rest: the minutes come out of one pool.
That makes sharer bundles a good fit for teams where call use is uneven. A busy sales manager and a mostly-internal finance assistant can share one bundle without anyone wasting an allowance.
Two things to keep in mind:
- Each bundle covers particular call types, such as UK landlines and mobiles, so check which numbers your bundle includes.
- Minutes beyond the bundle are charged at BT's rates, so a bundle that is too small can cost more than the next size up. We look at your history to avoid that.
Unlimited per user, or a shared bundle?
UK Call Sharer Unlimited is priced per user, so it suits people who are on the phone all day and makes the bill predictable. A shared bundle is usually better value when most people make only a few outbound calls.
Questions that help decide:
- Do a few people make most of the outbound calls, or is calling spread evenly?
- Are your busy months very different from your quiet ones?
- Do people mostly ring UK mobiles, UK landlines or both?
- Would a fixed, predictable cost be worth more to you than the lowest possible cost?
Whether different plan types can be combined on one account, and how, is confirmed when we put your order together. Users on the Basic feature pack at shared phones, such as a reception desk or warehouse, often make few outbound calls, which is worth reflecting in the plan you choose.
How to size a BT Cloud Voice call plan
- Gather three to six months of bills from your current provider, including itemised call data if you have it.
- Split the minutes into UK landlines, UK mobiles, international landlines and international mobiles.
- Find your peak month, not just the average, so a busy month does not push you into charges outside the bundle.
- Spot the heavy users: the few people who make most of the calls.
- Allow for change: new starters, a new site, or customers moving from email to phone.
- Compare options side by side: pay as you go, a sharer bundle, unlimited for some or all users, and an international bundle if needed.

International calling
If you call abroad, BT's international sharer bundles work the same way as the UK ones: a pool of minutes shared across your users for a fixed monthly price. There are two kinds: fixed only, for calls to landlines in selected countries, and fixed and mobile, for calls to both landlines and mobiles in selected countries.
Check which countries matter to you before choosing, because each bundle covers selected destinations rather than every country. If you only call abroad now and then, pay as you go for international calls may be enough.
